The Words We Speak Are In God's Truth

The Words that  we seek and to speak is in God's Truth and the truth is in the words you speak. The Words we speak are in God's truth and God's truth are in the words we speak. I wanted to share these little things in the beginning because I wanted you guys to know and understand a little bit of what we will read in scripture.

I also decided to share that part of it cause I wanted you guys to understand how the title came together.

Proverbs 16 verse 24, Hebrews 4 verse 12, Psalm 19 verse 14, Romans 1 verse 16, Matthew 12 verse 37, 2 Timothy 3 verse 16, Colossians 4 verse 6, Romans 10 verse 17, Matthew 24 verse 35, John 1 verse 1, John 6 verse 63, John 14 verse 6, John 17 verse 17, Psalm 25 verse 5, Psalm 86 verse 11, 1 John 5 verse 20, Ephesians 4 verse 15, Philippians 4 verse 8, Proverbs 30 verse 5, Psalm 43 verse 3, Psalm 51 verse 6, 1 Kings 17 verse 24.

In each of these scriptures we see what the power of words can do and we see how the truth of God's Words and God who is the Truth, the Way, and The Life because no matter what we speak or what we say, we know that as we speak with a heart of song, a heart that is pure, and a heart that is serving for Jesus we can see that those words we speak have always been and are in God's Truth. The Word Of God is a wonderful thing because without The Word Of God we would be lost and if we were lost, how would we be back to the heart of truth? How would we get back to the words that we speak in the heart of God?

This my friends, is simple. All we have to do is open the door to the endless possibilities of His Word, and another way is to go to Him in prayer and ask Him to help us to learn about Him more, His Word more and how the Truth Of His Word can help us know that we are never ever alone in what we face with Him.

God's Truth from The Words We Speak, The Words We Hear, and The Words in which we know is The Everlasting, Unfailing, Unending Word Of Truth in Which We Speak to tell others as we shine the Light that leads us to Christ and be that Light to know our words might not always define us but the words we speak are in God's Truth because God is our Hope, He is the Way, and He is our Refuge and Strength.

No matter what God says that we are His Beloved, and let us be Still to Know and slow to Speak so that we can hear what the Living Word Of God says, and that we have the Words that God puts in our heart to know that it's always Truth and the Truth to know that it is something we can never live without.

We can never live without it because God is Truth and because God is Truth, the Words of His Love in which He is Love will never pass away because God's Word will not pass away because even in scripture it says Heaven and Earth will pass away but my words will never pass away.

Let us remember this as we know that God's Words are always going to remain in Truth.

Also, the last thing I want to leave with is this: Three things remain, Hope Faith and Love and the greatest of these is Love.

Looking Back To Looking Forward

When we are looking back at our past hurts, our past memories that might be bad or toxic, how can we let go? When we see our past memories that are good, how can we start looking forward than keep looking back on the memories that were good or bad from our past and use those memories in the present to look forward? Let's see what the scriptures have to say as we go into tonight's topic. Luke 9 verse 62, 2 Corinthians 5 verse 17, Jeremiah 29 verse 11, Philippians 3 verse 14, Isaiah 43 verse 18, Proverbs 16 verse 3, Joshua 1 verse 9. Philippians 1 verse 6, Romans 10 verse 10, Luke 1 verse 37, Isaiah 41 verse 10, John 14 verse 6, Proverbs 4 verse 25, Philippians 4 verse 13, Psalm 31 verse 24, and Isaiah 43 verse 7.

In the scriptures we see how when we can start looking forward and not look back, we see our past erase. We see that God has had us on His Mind always and that we are never too far gone in life.

We look back & Thank God, We look forward & Trust God.

The concept of the study in what I hope to get across is that how we are looking back at past experiences good or bad but then as we are and we are looking back at those moments, so this is sort of in a way going off of my study title Moments We Spotlight For Jesus because when we are in the spotlight for Him then we can stop looking back to be able to know that we are looking forward to what lies ahead in the plans that God has for our lives, so that when our time comes to be with Him we are to be looking forward in rejoicing in being with Jesus for Eternity, rather than looking back at past hurts and what we cannot change, so to looking back is to now looking forward into what we do and how we grow deeper into our Faith in order to see God has been with us all the time.

Look back and Thank God.

Look forward and Trust God.

Look around and Serve God.

Look within and Find God.

My name was lost till your love reached down, You rescued me, now my name is found, I was a slave to my sin and shame, But those chains fell off when you changed my name, You changed my name

You changed my name, From too far gone to saved by grace, And now I am forever changed, All because You changed my name, You call me out from the grave I knew, The old is gone now my name is new, I once was guilty but not anymore, You paid my price now my name is yours, Yes, You paid my price now my name is yours, You changed my name, You changed my name, From too far gone to saved by grace And now I am forever changed, All because You changed my name, Oh-whoa-oh

Now I don't have to answer to any name that the enemy tries to call me, I don't have to answer to any name but chosen child of God, No, I don't have to answer to any name that the enemy tries to call me, I don't have to answer to any name but chosen child of God.

Stop looking back. There is nothing there. Your healing, blessings & miracles are ahead of you, not behind you.

I've read the words in red, How You leave the 99, To find the one missing, Feels like that was written

With me on Your mind And the prodigal son who ran, leaving his home behind, The part where the father came running to meet him, Did You say that with me on Your mind? Who am I that the King of the world, Would give one single thought about my broken heart?, Who am I that the God of all grace, Wipes the tears from my face and says, "Come as you are"? You paid the price, You took the cross, You gave Your life and You did it all with me on Your mind (oh, oh, oh, oh, oh), Me on Your mind (oh, oh, oh, oh, oh), Just knowing You're mindful of me, Just knowing You call me Your child, It's flooding my soul with unspeakable hope, Thank You, Lord, that it's me on Your mind, Who am I that the King of the world, Would give one single thought about my broken heart?, Who am I that the God of all grace, Wipes the tears from my face and says, "Come as you are"?

There are far, far better things ahead than any we leave behind.

You paid the price, You took the cross, You gave Your life and You did it all with me on Your mind (oh, oh, oh, oh, oh), There was me on Your mind (oh, oh, oh, oh, oh), Oh, oh (Hallelujah), Thank You, Jesus (Hallelujah), Lord, it was me on Your mind, I've read the words in red of a heavenly home on high

Look forward with Hope. Not Backwards with Regret.

You're preparing a place where the sorrow's erased, And when I stand before You, I'll find, All along, it was me on Your mind.

Don't let yesterday use up too much of Today.

I wanted to end with all of this as way to show that when we are looking back when we can also see that it is now to looking forward with hope, because just like a song by Matthew West says: No regrets, in the end, I wanna know I got no what-ifs.

Moments We Spotlight For Jesus

In the depths of the whole wide world, we see different things around us.

We see God's creation. We see the beauty of the skies and seas.

We see what He has done.

Now, have you ever thought of those around you who are struggling, maybe not even be able to speak, hear, and even see?

Well, when you think of those who are struggling in that way, have you ever thought of what are some moments we as children of God can spotlight for Jesus and the love that Jesus has for us?

You know tonight's study, was inspired by Joseph Neal who was describing in a comment that he made on the Christian Media Spotlight Community Group where he described why the word Spotlight was in the show's name and what the purpose of that was and is.

Which is how I came up with that title which is Moments We Spotlight For Jesus, cause  if you think about it, we are not putting ourselves in the spotlight but we are taking the moments of Faith, Hope and Love to use those moments that we spotlight for Jesus and talking to others about what it means to follow Him and how we as disciples who are His children advocate for Him in the Spotlight to know that His one and only Son died on that cross in that moment for our sins to be forgiven so that we didn’t have to pay the price.

Which brings me to the scriptures I want to look at with all of you tonight.

Matthew 16 verse 24, 1 Peter 2 verse 21, Matthew 4 verse 19, John 15 verse 16-17, John 14 verse 16, John 3:16-17, John 14 verse 6, Leviticus 19 verse 2, 1 John 3 verse 18, Proverbs 22 verse 6, Matthew 6 verse 33.

In the scriptures we see how we can Advocate while we follow Jesus but how we can use that Advocacy to follow Him to share the moments in the spotlight for Him as He is our way, truth, and life. We know that He makes all things new and that He makes all things well in every image that is in our scrapbooks.

As I heard a Lauren Daigle cover song on Friday night, I realized it's the one my heart needed as I know God is holding onto me and loves me for me and I don't have to change for anyone.

Which brings me to why this is how you see the moments in the spotlight for Him come to what is Truth and what is Life.

I've heard a host that has aired on the Christian Media Spotlight Radio Network host his radio show on there too when that has has aired on the network and His program is called Christian Music Spotlight and one of the things He has said that I've heard with announcing songs too is with God in The Spotlight which brings me to the Moments We Spotlight For Jesus cause Joe who hosts His Ministry Christian Media Spotlight has done Moments In The Spotlight of giving an encouraging word that people who have become family have needed.

Now a friend of mine Cassie Clayton did the Lauren Daigle cover on Friday night and an original song and my response to the original song was this, wow, this original speaks to the heart of a little bit in what I chose for my study topic because it's not about what we've accomplished but it's about taking those accomplishments further into the heart of God's calling.

You see these moments we take from song, the memories of our Heart's Design, the encouraging words people say, all of these things are Moments We Spotlight For Jesus daily. Have you ever noticed how we don't have to be in a spotlight for ourselves but we can be in the spotlight for Jesus?

It's an interesting thing isn't it, how we can take all those things and be a light and as I think about it, there's a song by Francesca Battistelli that says, I don't need my name in lights, I'm famous in my Father's eyes, Make no mistake, He knows my name, I'm not living for applause, I'm already so adored, It's all His stage, He knows my name oh, oh, He knows my name oh, oh.

Then there's another song by someone I know Sam Day called Spotlight and verse one of that song says, I got up on the stage and it did not feel a thing like it was supposed to, Still had to engage, even with no atmosphere, Was I just faking a show, and was all this noise the same as what they were hearing, Well, I didn't know And I could not trust their face, Well we all know that a great white moment can still feel like nothing at all, Can't go by those things. The chorus says: I can't trust the feelings that are screaming for the spotlight, Cause if I had, would not have made it here, You can say that everything is crashing for a moment, Or shut your mouth and then say something clear.

When I think of these two lyrics, I think of and think back on why I chose this study and why I titled it the way I did because we are living in God's Spotlight and we take those moments from that Spotlight the Spotlight Of Jesus in which we live as Beloved Children Of God and as Disciples for Christ that follow Him, and we advocate the moments of the Living Truth of God, the beauty, the treasure, the moments we seek His Will to be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

We let His Kingdom Come in these moments.

''The more I focus on You, The more fully You live in me and work through me.'' Christ knows all that is true about our story, the parts we would delete, and He invites us to bring them all into the spotlight of His Grace.

When I Received Jesus Christ As My Lord And Savior I Found The Secret Of Life.

Come you weary heart now to Jesus, Come you anxious soul now and see, There is perfect love and comfort in your tears, Rest here in His wondrous peace, Oh the goodness, the goodness of Jesus, Satisfied, He is all that I need, May it be, come what may, that I rest all my days, In the goodness of Jesus, Come find what this world cannot offer, Come and find your joy here complete, Taste the living water, never thirst again, Rest here in His wondrous peace.

In all these things you see how we can take the smallest of blessings, the bigger blessings, the small moments, and even in the biggest moments we can see how God loves His Children, but we can see how we take all of these things and turn those things into humbled blessed moments to Spotlight the Word Of God, the way to spotlight moments for Him daily.

Let us take time, let us take time to pray and remember all the things we have learned tonight as well.

This is the last thing I would like to end with all of you tonight as it is always a hope that people like us as children of God can continue to share the moments that we spotlight for Jesus and with His Word.

So, here is the last thing I am now going to share with everyone and that is this:

Saved

Praising

Onward

Living

Inspire

Grace

Hope

Trust

I wanted to end on this acronym that I came up with cause I wanted us to remember that as we go Onward In Faith we are Saved while we are Praising Him and Living In His Word as a Living and Breathing Testimony to where we will inspire people by His Grace in which we have been Saved. That we can put all our Trust in Jesus and share those moments we Spotlight For Jesus in Hope which we see that His Love will never Fail, and that we are Living on this Earth as if it were our last, but holding onto that ray of Hope to Inspire others by God's Grace and going onward with praising Him every single day and every single night, to know that we don't have to lose that Hope and Trust in our Savior who reigns because we know that we are Saved, it's just that matter of Hope to know we are Living In Christ too.

A Light That Overcomes The Darkness

1 Peter 2:9 says: But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

I am not who I once was, Defined by all the things I've done, Afraid my shame would be exposed, Afraid of really being known, But then you gave my heart a home, So I walked out of the darkness and into the light, From fear of shame into the hope of life, Mercy called my name and made a way to fly, Out of the darkness and into the light, With years of keeping secrets safe, Wondering if I could change, 'Cause when you're hiding all alone, Your heart can turn into a stone And that's not the way I want to go

So I walk out of the darkness and into the light, From fear of shame into the hope of life, Mercy called my name and made a way to fly, Out of the darkness and into the light, There's no place I would rather be

Your light is Marvelous, Your light is Marvelous, You have come to set us free, You are Marvelous, Your light is Marvelous.

I was a wretch, I remember who I was, I was lost, I was blind, I was running out of time, Sin separated

The breach was far too wide, But from the far side of the chasm, You held me in your sight, So You made a way, Across the great divide, Left behind Heaven's throne, To build it here inside, And there at the cross, You paid the debt I owed, Broke my chains, freed my soul, For the first time I had hope, Thank you Jesus for the blood applied, Thank you Jesus, it has washed me white, Thank you Jesus, You have saved my life, Brought me from the darkness into glorious light.

Give Light, And The Darkness Will Disappear Of It's Self.

I want us to take a look at some scriptures because I wanted to share those things first before we read more to understand the message and the hidden message of why I chose this study.

Psalm 119 verse 105, Matthew 5 verse 16, Psalm 27 verse 1, 1 John 1 verse 5, Ephesians 5 verse 8, Genesis 1 verse 3, John 9 verse 5, John 8 verse 12, John 11 verse 10, Luke 1 verse 79, 1 John 1 verse 6, Romans 13 verse 12.

In the scriptures we read and the one I read in the beginning, along with sharing two songs and one quote, the message we get and the hidden message of why I chose this to be my study for this Wednesday is because I didn't know what I wanted to talk about, so I went to Bible Gateway for inspiration, and the verse I shared in the beginning is one that then prompted me to look up lyrics that had the words light and darkness and then look up quotes that talked about those words too. So then shortly after that I called a friend of mine who was a pastor and lives in California on messenger and I told him that I wouldn't keep him long but here is how God used me to come up with the topic.

Now the title reminds me of what is mainly titled for the God's Not Dead Movie series and that is A Light In Darkness, now in that movie if you ever watched it, you know the storyline and what kind of trouble we are still facing today but if we can be that light or be a light that can overcome the darkness of which the enemy tries to steal, kill, and destroy our joy and happiness and not let God lead us to the path of the plans He has for us which are to prosper, but not to harm, but to give us a hope and a future then what are we doing? I mean what are we truly doing? Are we letting the enemy win and say alright, I can't overcome the darkness of the storm I'm in and I am a little tired, so you win? Or are we saying, God I know I'm going through the darkness of a storm and I know it's a rough patch, but can you please help me be A Light That Overcomes The Darkness that the enemy wants to try to keep me from growth in my Faith and Relationship with You? When you look at these questions and you reflect on these words, you see that no matter how many times the enemy wants to destroy and make us live a life filled with fear and darkness and not let God's light shine through us and let His Words be a lamp unto our feet a light unto our path, you see the bigger picture where God will always light our way, where He will be a light unto our path, a light unto our feet and He will give us the hope and future that we need.

We are indeed the light of the world but only if the switch is turned on. Now with this quote, it brings me back to the message and the questions meant to reflect to not only help you where you are in your own journey with God but to have you be able to later have courage to help somebody in need of it.

Though I sit in darkness, The Lord will be my Light. You see that goes back to scriptures of how God is the Light of Our World how we can be the Light, but also be A Light That Overcomes The Darkness that the enemy would want us to stay in for a long period of time with out ever letting our light shine.

There is a candle in every soul, Some brightly burning, some dark and cold, There is a Spirit who brings fire, Ignites a candle and makes His home, Carry your candle, run to the darkness, Seek out the hopeless, confused and torn, Hold out your candle for all to see it, Take your candle, and go light your world, Take your candle, and go light your world, Frustrated brother, see how he's tried to, Light his own candle some other way, See now your sister, she's been robbed and lied to, Still holds a candle without a flame, Carry your candle, run to the darkness, Seek out the lonely, the tired and worn, Hold out your candle for all to see it, Take your candle, and go light your world, Take your candle, and go light your world, We are a family whose hearts are blazing, So let's raise our candles and light up the sky, Praying to our Father, in the name of Jesus, Make us a beacon in darkest times, Carry your candle, run to the darkness, Seek out the helpless, deceived and poor, Hold out your candle for all to see it, Take your candle, and go light your world.

This little light of mine, I’m going to let it shine, Oh, this little light of mine, I’m going to let it shine, This little light of mine, I’m going to let it shine, Let it shine, all the time, let it shine. Hide it under a bushel? No! I’m going to let it shine, Hide it under a bushel? No! I’m going to let it shine, Let it shine, all the time, let it shine. Don’t let Satan [blow] it out! I’m going to let it shine, Don’t let Satan [blow] it out! I’m going to let it shine, Don’t let Satan [blow] it out! I’m going to let it shine, Let it shine, all the time, let it shine.

I woke up this morning, Saw a world full of trouble now, thought, How'd we ever get so far down, and

How's it ever gonna turn around, So I turned my eyes to Heaven, I thought, "God, why don't You do something?" Well, I just couldn't bear the thought of, People living in poverty, Children sold into slavery, The thought disgusted me, So, I shook my fist at Heaven, Said, "God, why don't You do something?" He said, "I did, yeah, I created you" (now listen) If not us, then who, If not me and you, Right now, it's time for us to do something, yeah, If not now, then when, Will we see an end, To all this pain, Oh, it's not enough to do nothing, It's time for us to do something, I'm so tired of talking about, How we are God's hands and feet, But it's easier to say than to be, Live like angels of apathy who tell ourselves, It's alright, "somebody else will do something", Well, I don't know about you, But I'm sick and tired of life with no desire, I don't want a flame, I want a fire and I wanna be the one who stands up and says, "I'm gonna do something", If not us, then who, If not me and you, Right now, it's time for us to do something, yes it is, come on, If not now, then when, Will we see an end To all this pain, Oh oh, it's not enough to do nothing, It's time for us to do something, We are the salt of the earth, We are a city on a hill, We're never gonna change the world, By standing still, No, we won't stand still, No, we won't stand still, No, we won't stand still, No.

In these last little things that I wanted to share I like to think that each of these things will bring us back to what matters in the Heart Of God, which is being A Light That Overcomes The Darkness of what the enemy tries to tell us which are lies and start believing more in the truth that becomes the Light Of Christ who gives us strength to do all things through Him and be overtaken by the Darkness of Fear, but overcome that and be A Light to those around us, so that they too can be A Light that overcomes it all.
