Perfect Love Drives Out Fear

 1 John 4 verse 18 says: There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

In scripture when we are reading about love and fear and how perfect love drives our fear. 

We in a spiritual way of thinking are not talking about love that we take as a family and friend relationship standpoint  to help the fear we have of worry and anxiety cause that type of thing is when we as individuals who are children of God pray together and for one another but the perfect love that drives out fear that we have been talking about and learning about is what God does because God’s ways are perfect and our ways are not because His love is perfect in every way because He is Love. 

You see, since God is love , His love will never change but His Love can cast out or in this moment drive out fear. 

It is a great example in how God can take a moment that is bad if we have fear because He can turn that fearful moment into a moment shown in love that was driven out by fear. 

When we have fear, do we have the sense that God’s love has changed or do we take that example of His perfect love that drives out the fear to show us that anything is possible and nothing is impossible for God? 

Think of Philippians 4 verse 13, what would this verse have to do with the study? Why would this verse be relevant or important in a study like this one where we are learning about how perfect love drives our fear? 

Well, in that verse of scripture it talks about how we can do all things through Christ that gives us strength and so without strength from God, without knowing that we could do anything that we set our minds to, and not knowing that God’s Love because He is Love could drive out fear, what would we have? 

Well, we would have the enemy telling us lies, we would be living in a life that is fearful, filled with anxiety, anguish, hurt, deceit, despair, worry, and mainly fear. 

However if we have God, we have strength, grace, peace, mercy, hope, humility, kindness, gentleness, patience, humbleness, and love. 

The same Love in which God is and the same God who drives our fear and all the bad stuff that can sometimes sneak up on us. 

So what have we learned? What do we have to take from this study? 

Well, the first take away in what we have learned is that when we allow ourselves to have fear take over then that is the enemy who wants to drive away love and have fear over faith which is in the love of which we know God is mighty. The second thing we have to take away from it all is the fact that when we allow ourselves to have love take over and not fear then that is when God who is love is driving out the fear from the enemy and we can stand firm in our faith and have faith that overcomes fear and the faith that overcomes fear in love, why? Well, because perfect love casts out , but also drives out fear.

An Act Of Love

In all of these scriptures, we see that with every act of Love we know that God's Love will carry us through daily because God is Love. We see how we should want to walk in the acts of Love and deeds of Faith. This brings me to another song that I would like to share, and the song I want to share is called Speak O Lord. These are the lyrics I wanted to share because it goes along with everything we are learning in how An Act Of Love can come a  long way.

Speak, O Lord, as we come to You, To receive the food of Your holy Word, Take Your truth, plant it deep in us, Shape and fashion us in Your likeness, That the light of Christ might be seen today, In our acts of love and our deeds of faith, Speak, O Lord, and fulfill in us, All Your purposes for Your glory.

You see, we take God's Truth and we plant it deep in us but we also plant it deep inside of our hearts. We see how it can shape and fashion us in the Likeness of God, that His Light might be seen today in the acts of love and our deeds of Faith that we show daily to help others come to know Christ and how our purposes are used for His Glory, and How His Glory is used in our Story. Our Story is always used in that.

In all things, I know You're workin', One life, one mission, One reason why I'm livin', All for You, not for me, My story, Your glory.

You see how these things in every act of Love we can show an act of love, just like we can show an act of kindess through our story used for God's Glory because our pain is God's purpose, our mess is God's message, in all these things we know He is working, to show us this one life is His one mission to show us the one reason why we are living all for God, not for us, because are stories are being used for His Glory in every which way.

He said Love. As I have loved you. We cannot love too much.

Nothing can change God's Love for you.

No matter what we do in our week, our weekend, we see that An Act Of Love comes a long way because without An Act Of Love, how can we have the Act Of God's Love, how can we remember that the Act Of God's Love is when we already know that God is the truest of Loves because He is Love and when we remember that, what else do we need to know?

Noble

Admirable

Compassion

Trusting

Open

Faith

Lovable

Onward

Variety

Elegance 

Let us remember that God's Love is Amazing, that things are Noble and Just when we have God in our midst, that God's Love is Admirable, that He shows compassion to those who show compassion, that as long as we are trusting Him with a open Faith we can see how He loves us and the Lovable who are Beloved by God continue to march onward and we have a variety of God's unfailing Love because the Elegance is showing us clearly that God will never fail us, because He gives us strength for today.
