What Does The Bible Say About Song?

Tonight I want to talk about what the Bible says about Song. The scriptures we are going to look at tonight are Psalm 68 verse 4, Colossians 3 verse 16, Psalm 40 verse 3, Isaiah 42 verse 10, James 5 verse 13, 3 John verse 1-2, Colossians 3 verse 14, Psalm 119 verse 105, 2 Corinthians 5 verse 17, and the last two scriptures we will look at tonight are Psalm 101 verse 1, and Psalm 95 verse 1. In the scriptures we see how God has given us a way to not only share music with others but has allowed us to share songs with others. When we give praise to God we are allowing ourselves to spend time in worship with Him. We are allowing ourselves to give thanks, and give Him the Glory and the Honor. He is worthy to be praised and we lift His name up in Worship and in Prayer. When we are talking about what the Bible says about Song, we can think of how song lyrics relate to scripture. We can think of how God has given us a song to sing in order to share His Good News with others. We think of many different ways and things. What are some things we can do to share God's Word through Song and Lyrics? How can we let others know that when we share it in this way, that they're also learning about God and what His Word says? I want to share a quote with all of you.  The quote I would like to share with you says this.

Now when we think of this we think of how God's Word can inspire us to create music whether it be a song with lyrics or without, or just creating a song in a different way. No matter how we do it, God will always make a way for us and He will help us to know that He is with us and that He is for us each day.

I want to share some lyrics with all of you and I really want the words of these lyrics to give us a better understanding, but a reminder of How God can help us learn about Him and His Word through Song.

When we think of these lyrics we can be assured that God is with us, for us, never against us and He will help us through anything that we are facing. Which brings me to what I would like to share with all of you. On Monday when I called into the Seeds Of Truth Bible Study, I was sharing some lyrics that I felt related to what we were talking about, and then as I shared my final comments on that study I mentioned how I felt like the reason I use song lyrics in my own studies with everyone is because I feel it helps me to relate to scripture, but it helps me to get a better understanding and clarity. There were other things that I shared in relation with that, but I wanted to share that particular part because I feel it helps relate back to what we have been learning about tonight. So what are other ways we can help others know about what God wants us to know about Song and Lyrics? How we can help them know that a lot of the lyrics from those songs can help relate back to scripture because a lot of them were written because of scripture? For me, I would say one of the things is to let them know who Jesus Is. Let them know how God gives a song to sing, but that God's mercies are new every morning. When we take the time to know about this and learn about it, what are some things we can take away from it? How can we be the light God wants us to be for others this week? How can we share about this in a way that someone who may not understand, but wants to understand so that they can come to know Him?
Here are the last two things that I would like to end on tonight. The first thing says this: It is not sufficient to offer the empty vessel of our joy unto God, or our singing voice in musical tune only; but also it is required that we fill our joyful voice with holy matter and good purpose, whereby God only may be reasonably praised.
The last thing that I would like to share tonight says: Next to the Word of God, the noble art of music is the greatest treasure in the world.

What Does The Bible Say About Caring?

Tonight I want to talk about What Does The Bible say about Caring? The scriptures we are going to look at tonight are John 13 verses 34-35, Galatians 6 verse 10, Galatians 5 verse 14, 1 Peter 5 verse 7, John 15 verse 13, 1 John 4 verse 7, Ephesians 5 verse 1, Romans 12 verse 1, 1 Corinthians 13 verse 13, and the last two we are going to look at tonight are Colossians 3 verse 12, and Proverbs 19 verse 17.

When we look at what we read tonight we see how God shows us the traits we need in order to grow in our own relationship and faith walk with Him and with others.

Tonight we are talking about Caring, so I also want to look at what it means to care for others. So we are going to take a look at just a few scriptures that talk about that.

The scriptures we are going to look at are Philippians 2 verse 4, 1 John 3 verse 17-18, Galatians 5 verse 22-23, Romans 12 verse 10, Romans 15 verses 1-2, Romans 12 verse 13, and John 15 verse 12.

In the scriptures we just looked at we see how God wants us to show love to one another just as He loves us. I want to share a quote with all of you.

The quote I would like to share says this: Even when we don't see God's presence, His loving care is all around us. God gives us what  we need and He gives us comfort. He cares for all His children and loves them without end.

When we think about what it means to be cared for, we think of how it can mean different things. One of the ways is by showing an act of kindness to others. Another way is to just be there to talk and listen to what people have to say. If we see someone who needs comforted we can show them kindness by giving them a hug and listening to what they have to say because when we show how we care for others and what it means in caring for others we can see how showing compassion and showing others love can come a long way.

I want to share two quotes with you. The first quote says this: We Are Simply Called To Be The Hands and Feet Of Jesus, Willing To Love Our Neighbor And Leave Our Comfort For The Sake Of Those Who Need Him Most. The Second quote says: While God show His love through the sacrificing of His life as well as through the care that He showed while walking this Earth, that same kind of love should be given to others.

I want to share a song with all of you now. The song I would like to share comes from a movie called A Week Away and the lyrics of the song say this: The only way you could go wrong is if you doubt yourself, Confidence is everything don't need to be someone else. A reason I wanted to share these two lyrics is because when we are talking about caring and the word care itself, we think of how God showed that unconditional, unfailing love toward others and how He still does. I also think of how someone helped me see that all I need to do is just keep being who God made me to be and not to worry and care so much in what others say or do, because it's true friends and family that will show the love, care, compassion, and kindness toward others that will also come a long way because no matter what we do, we can always show someone who feels left out or lonely that we care by being there for them in the best way that we know how to be there for them.

We can also show them that we care for them, by praying and keeping them in prayer.

Here are the two things I would like to end on tonight. The first thing I would like to end on tonight says: Don't let people change the loving and caring person you are. Don't let anyone get you down. Use the love and goodness inside of you to stay Strong. The last thing says: God understands your pain. Trust Him to take care of the things you can't.

Is There Anything God Can Not Do For Us

Is There Anything God Can Not Do For Us? Tonight I want to talk about Is There Anything God Can Not Do For Us. I want to take a look at some scriptures that talk about Theres Nothing That Our God Cant Do. The scriptures that I want us to look at tonight are Philippians 4 verse 13, Jeremiah 32 verse 17, Matthew 19 verse 26, Luke 1 verse 37, Mark 10 verse 27, Jeremiah 32 verse 27, Romans 3 verse 26, Philippians 4 verse 19, John 15 verse 16, Hebrews 11 verse 1, Job 42 verse 2, 2 Kings 3 verse 18, Philippians 2 verse 13, Psalm 90 verse 2, and the last scripture we will look at is Hebrews 6 verse 18. In the scriptures we see how God is for us, hasn't left us. He is a Just and Faithful God who helps us through any storm. When we think of what we are learning tonight, we think of how there is a lyric of a song that says: Child don't you know that the first will be last and the last get a crown?

Now when we think of that and truly think of it, there's something I heard in a sermon from a pastor and He said this: Those who are last will be first and those who are last will be first. If we take those things, yes they are the same, except I wanted to be able to remind us just like I did with another scripture even though it was similar to the other two, why? Well, because I wanted to remind us that when we receive God's Love, Grace, Mercy, Wisdom, and we continue to Glorify Him in what we do and we pray to Him, He is going to continue to show us the plans that He has for us, and a abundance of Unfailing Grace and Mercy. He will never let us go.

How many of you know Veggietales? There is an episode called Where Is God when I'm Scared, and just like I'm sharing what I felt He put on my heart to share there is a song from it that says this: My God is so big, So strong and so mighty, There's nothing my God cannot do, My God is so big, So strong and so mighty, There's nothing my God cannot do, There's nothing my God cannot do, The mountains are His, The rivers are His. The stars are His handiwork too, My God is so big, So strong and so mighty, There's nothing my God cannot do.

When we take a song like this, there really is nothing our God cannot do for us, because He provides every day. He makes a way for us. He helps us to know we don't have to be afraid of what He has planned for us because it's working together for His Good and for His Glory.

If we felt weak, He lifts us up. If we felt sad, He lifts us up. If we felt upset, He reminds us in scripture to not let our hearts be troubled, because God is with us.

He knows our thoughts and our hearts. We give it all to Him. We don't let the enemy win, because if we did we let the enemy win by telling us lies, but it's God who fights our battles each time.

It's God who reminds us that we are loved and that we are His Beloved and that He died to make our heart His Home. He is our Refuge and He is our Strength.

He loves without end, and He helps us know that we are never alone. If we gave up the enemy would win the battle.

We don't give up, because we are Warriors for God. We have purpose to live life to the fullest and we give it to Him. Why? Well, because He is our Savior who sent His Son To Die on the cross for our sins so that we could have everlasting life.

Have you ever watched the Skit Guys where they talked about How There's Nothing Our God Can Not Do For Us? When we think of that, we think of the Blessings that God has given us in order to grow. We think of how He does so much for us and we thank Him each and every single day. I want to share a quote with all of you and the quote says this.

I would like to share another quote that says this.
When we think of these quotes we know in our hearts that Nothing Is Impossible For God and that all things are Possible with Him and For Him.

Here are the things I would like to end on tonight. The first thing I would like to end on  says this: For All The Blessings That You Bring, Lord Of Lords and King of Kings We will let our voices ring, Your The Only Song we ever want to sing, Your the Only Song I ever want to sing.

The second thing I would like to share with all of you is this.

The third thing I would like to share says this: Savior, He can move the mountains, My God is mighty to save, He is mighty to save, Forever, author of Salvation, He rose and conquered the grave, Jesus conquered the grave, So take me as You find me, All my fears and failures, Fill my life again, I give my life to follow, Everything I believe in, And now I surrender (I surrender), Savior, He can move the mountains, My God is mighty to save, He is mighty to save, Forever, author of Salvation, He rose and conquered the grave, Jesus conquered the grave.

The last thing I want to end with is this: As We look back at what we've learned in Scripture, what the Bible says about how There's Our God cannot do, we take something like this and we apply it by telling others about what Jesus can do for us because there is nothing that is too big or too small for God to handle, because God helps us through anything and everything. He helps us realize that when we feel like it's impossible, well we go back to the one quote I shared that talked about how Nothing is impossible because the word itself says I'm Possible. We apply these things to our lives, and we continue to learn and grow in our Faith and Relationship with God. Why? Well that brings me to the very last thing that I want to mention.

What Does The Bible Say About The Promises Of God

Tonight I want to talk about What Does The Bible Say About The Promises Of God. Let's take a look at some scriptures, so that we can understand more on what we are learning. The scriptures we will be reading tonight are Mark 11 verse 24, Genesis 9 verse 13, Philippians 1 verse 6, 1 Thessalonians 5 verse 24, Psalm 103 verse 12, Proverbs 22 verse 6, Luke 18 verse 27, 1 Timothy 4 verse 8, Micah 7 verse 19, Psalm 34 verse 17, Malachi 4 verse 2, John 15 verses 7-8, Galatians 3 verse 22, Joshua 21 verse 45, 1 Peter 5 verse 7, and Romans 8 verse 28. When we look at the scriptures we see how God shows us His Promises that He Has for us is great and when we think of God's Promises we also think of the plans that God has for us and how God can make us strong in what we do. I want to share a song with all of you and the lyrics of the song say this: My chains are gone, I've been set free, My God, my Savior has ransomed me, And like a flood, His mercy rains, Unending love, Amazing grace, The Lord has promised good to me, His word my hope secures, He will my shield and portion be, As long as life endures. We take a song like Amazing Grace, My Chains are Gone and we see how our God has been good to us, how He has promised good things to  us, and when We trust in His Word we can see how God will help us through any storm and in any trial. God has been showing us throughout any part of our day that we can do all things through Him and when we do all things through Him we can do anything. He loves us. He loves us so much that He reminds us we are His Beloved, we are Loved, we are Cared for. We need to remember that God is in control and God is helping us through and through. No matter what we face in life God's Got This. He has shown us that we don't have to be afraid of what comes next because we can rest in His Arms and on His Promises that He has for us. I want to share another song that say this: I've had good days, I've had bad days, tasted victory in defeat, I've had problems, biggest planets turn to pebbles when You speak I've had nothing to my name, never lacked for anything, 'Cause You were there with me, You've been my Savior, Sustainer when I'm at my end, My Healer, Redeemer, again and again, My Mother and my Father, Brother, Sister, and Friend, Everything I've needed Lord, You've always been, Everything I've needed Lord, You've always been, You are my strength, my rock, Jesus, You are my hope, my song, Jesus. Before my heart knows what to pray, You've already made a way, Jesus, You've been my Savior, Sustainer when I'm at my end, My Healer, Redeemer, again and again, My Mother and my Father, Brother, Sister, and Friend,  Everything I've needed Lord, You've always been. When we take a song like You've Always been we see that God and His Promises will continue in our lives and we don't have to worry and fear because He has always been here. The last two things I would like to share are this.  The first thing I would like to share is a photo that says:
The last thing I would like to share is another song from Unspoken where the lyrics of the song says this:
The dawn is breaking And I can hear Your whisper in the breeze, The world is waking, And I am here to meet You on my knees, When I'm with You, my soul finds rest, 'Cause I can leave it in Your hands, The day keeps coming, Pulling me a different million ways, I'm always running, But never seem to catch the things I chase, When I'm with You, my soul finds rest, 'Cause I can leave it in Your hands, Every sorrow, I leave it in Your hands, Every sickness, I leave it in Your hands, All my failures, I leave them in Your hands, Amen, I leave it in Your hands, So I am laying The weight of all these burdens at Your feet, No more waiting, 'Cause You've already won my victories, In Jesus my soul finds rest, 'Cause I can leave it in Your hands, Every promise, I leave it in Your hands, Every healing, I leave it in Your hands, And my future, I leave it in Your hands, Amen, I can leave it in Your hands, It's Your hands that form the mountains, (In Your hands), Your hands set boundaries for the seas, (In Your hands), And in Your hands You hold tomorrow, The same hands that took the nails for me.
