Matthew 11 verse 28-30 says: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Isaiah 40 verse 29-31 says: He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Revelation 2 verse 3, 2 Thessalonians 3 verse 13, Psalm 73 verse 26, Jeremiah 29 verse 11, John 16 verse 33, 1 Peter 5 verse 7, Hebrews 12 verse 1-3, Exodus 33 verse 14, Psalm 4 verse 8, Philippians 4 verse 6-7, Psalm 69 verse 3, Hebrews 4 verse 16, Philippians 4 verse 13, Habakkuk 3 verse 19, Ecclesiastes 12 verse 12, James 1 verse 2, 2 Timothy 1 verse 7.
In these scriptures we see how God can give us strength in our times of weariness and feeling down. We see that He can renew the weariness by giving us strength and the weariness in the strength in which God renews to His children can come a long way because our weariness is in the strength that God renews and our strength comes from the weariness in which God renews and restores to us because the weariness in the strength that God renews is the pillar of strength that renews us in the weariness of which we sometimes have but then we see in weariness in the strength of which God renews and takes our weariness away because He gives us strength to overcome our fears, our anxieties, our troubles in which we feel like we carry many burdens.
Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord, We will wait upon the Lord, we will wait upon the Lord, Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord, We will wait upon the Lord, we will wait upon the Lord, Our God, You reign forever, Our hope, our strong Deliverer, You are the everlasting God, The everlasting God, You do not faint, You won't grow weary, You're the defender of the weak, You comfort those in need, You lift us up on the wings Like eagles.
When you’re all alone. When there’s trouble stirring in your soul And if your world is falling apart, Just hold on for the morning break to dawn, Come and lay your burdens down To the place where freedom is found, At the feet, at the feet of Jesus, Come and lay your burdens down, When the deepest sorrow weighs on your heart, When you’ve prayed for answers but the answers never come, For every tear that you cry, There’s a promise He will make your burdens light.
Lately, been down so low, My faith seems to come and go, Some days, father, I don't know, How did my love grow cold? But You help me see again, This world is not the end, Jesus, my sweetest friend, You're worth the suffering, Your love is my reward, Your love is my reward, When every day is just another struggle And every choice is an act of war, Gotta pray, gotta press on To the prize worth fighting for, When it feels like I'll never make it, When my heart's crying out for more, Gotta pray, gotta press on, To the prize worth fighting for, The battle rages on But your promise keeps me strong, I know I'll win this race With your unfailing grace, Your love is my reward, Your love is my reward, When every day is just another struggle And every choice is an act of war, Gotta pray, gotta press on To the prize worth fighting for, When it feels like I'll never make it, When my heart's crying out for more, Gotta pray, gotta press on, To the prize worth fighting for.
It's quarter to eight, And I'm running late, But my mind's still asleep in the bed, I catch all the news, Then I gotta choose, To make sure my spirit is fed. On the brightest day, in the darkest night, There's a voice I hear, and it keeps me right, Tells me what I need to know, Jesus on the radio, Got me dancing to the melody of rhythm and hope, Jesus on the radio Singing songs about the one that saved my soul, Jesus on the radio, Oh no, you know it doesn't matter where I go, If I got Jesus on the radio, Jesus on the radio.
If I were You I would've given up on me by now, I would've labeled me a lost cause, 'Cause I feel just like a lost cause, If I were You I would've turned around and walked away, I would've labeled me beyond repair, 'Cause I feel like I'm beyond repair, Oh, but somehow You don't see me like I do, Somehow You're still here, You're the God who stays, You're the God who stays, You're the one who runs in my direction, When the whole world walks away, You're the God who stands, With wide open arms And You tell me nothing I have ever done can separate my heart, From the God who stays.
God's not done with you, Even with your broken heart and your wounds and your scars, God's not done with you, Even when you're lost and it's hard and you're falling apart, God's not done with you, It's not over, it's only begun, So don't hide, don't run, 'Cause God's not done with You-ou-ou-ou-ou, You-ou-ou-ou-ou, There's a light you don't notice Until you're standing in the dark And there's a strength that's growing Inside your shattered heart, Woah-oh-oh-oh, God's not done with you, Even with your broken heart and your wounds and your scars, God's not done with you, Even when you're lost and it's hard and you're falling apart, God's not done with you, It's not over, it's only begun, So don't hide, don't run, Cause God's not done with You-ou-ou-ou-ou, You-ou-ou-ou-ou, He's not done with, You-ou-ou-ou-ou, You-ou-ou-ou-ou, He's got a plan, this is part of it, He's gonna finish what He started, He's got a plan, this is part of it, He's gonna finish what He started, He's not done, God's not done writing your story, No, He's not done, God's not done with you, God's not done with you.
If I didn't know what it hurt like to be broken, Then how would I know what it feels like to be whole, If I didn't know what it cuts like to be rejected, Then I wouldn't know the joy of coming home, Maybe it's okay if I'm not okay, 'Cause the One who holds the world is holding onto me, Maybe it's all right if I'm not all right, 'Cause the One who holds the stars is holding my whole life, If I didn't know what it looked like to be dirty, Then I wouldn't know what it feels like to be clean And if all of my shame hadn't drove me to hide in the shadows, Then I wouldn't know the beauty of being free, Maybe it's okay if I'm not okay, 'Cause the One who holds the world is holding onto me, Maybe it's all right if I'm not all right, 'Cause the One who holds the stars is holding my whole life, Father, let Your kingdom come, Let Your will be done, Here in my heart as in Heaven, Father, let Your kingdom come, Let Your will be done, Here in my heart as in Heaven, oh.
We have raised our hopes and our cities high, We have followed fragile dreams But only One could take the measure of our goals And we've stumbled over the trials of life And we've wrestled the unseen, But only One can calm the storm inside our souls, In the hands of God we will fall, Rest for the restless, and the weary, Hope for the sinner, In the hands of God we stand tall, Hands that are mighty to deliver, Giving us freedom, When our strength gave way to the weight of guilt, 'Til we strained for every breath, Only One could lift our shame and make us well And when all is finished and we face, The fearsome power of death, Only One has overcome the gates of hell, You're amazing, You're amazing, You are And we praise You, Lord, For what Your hands have done.
Thank You God For The Strength That God Renews.
When We Are Weary, The Lord Will Be Our Strength.
I would like to share two more songs with all of you before sharing my final thoughts.
Weary traveler Beat down from the storms that you have weathered, Feels like this road just might go on forever Carry on, You keep on givin', But every day this world just keeps on takin', Your tired heart is on the edge of breaking, Carry on Weary traveler, restless soul, You were never meant to walk this road alone, It'll all be worth it so just hold on, Weary traveler, you won't be weary long And no more searchin', Heaven's healing's gonna find where all the hurt is, When Jesus calls, we'll lay down all our heavy burdens, Carry on, oh, Weary traveler, restless soul, You were never meant to walk this road alone, It'll all be worth it so just hold on, Weary traveler, you won't be weary long, No, you won't be weary long, You won't be weary long (weary long), Someday soon we're gonna make it home, Someday soon we're gonna make it home, Someday soon we're gonna make it home, Someday soon we're gonna make it home, Someday soon we're gonna make it home, Someday soon we're gonna make it home, Someday soon we're gonna make it home, Gonna make it home.
You must. You must think I'm strong, To give me what I'm going through, Well, forgive me, Forgive me if I'm wrong, But this looks like more than I can do, On my own, I know I'm not strong enough to be, Everything that I'm supposed to be, I give up, I'm not strong enough, Hands of mercy won't you cover me, Lord right now I'm asking you to be, Strong enough, Strong enough For the both of us, yeah, Well, maybe, Maybe that's the point, To reach the point of giving up, 'Cause when I'm finally, Finally at rock bottom, Well, that's when I start lookin' up And reachin' out, I know I'm not strong enough to be, Everything that I'm supposed to be, I give up, I'm not strong enough, Hands of mercy won't you cover me?, Lord right now I'm asking you to be, Strong enough, Strong enough, 'Cause I'm broken, Down to nothing But I'm still holding on to the one thing, You are God And you are strong When I am weak, I can do all things, Through Christ who gives me strength And I don't have to be, Strong enough, Strong enough, I know I can do all things Through Christ who gives me strength And I don't have to be Strong enough, Strong enough... Oh... Yeah...
We see in all of this and in Jordan St. Cyr's song Weary Traveler and Matthew West's song Strong Enough can be a resemblance in how in our Weariness the strength God renews from that becomes strong enough in order for us to persevere in the Belovedness of God's unfailing Love and Redemption of the heart of Jesus who loves us even in our weariness because even in that, He renews the strength that we need in order to have that peace that surpasses all understanding in the Heart and Mind of Christ Jesus.
So you see the Weariness we once had, is in the strength of which God renews in our hearts to grow deeper in Faith with Him and to know that He hasn't, won't, and doesn't ever give up on us because we are His Beloved children.
We are His Beloved Children who are owning our Belovedness to have that renewed strength. When we have that renewed strength, the weariness we once felt just becomes faded and is gone because God will give us the peace we need. So just remember that the strength God renews in our hearts to let go of the weariness we feel at times, is to be remembered in knowing that all of that Weariness is in the strength that God renews because God is Love and God provides the strength that we need in order to grow in order to see how God gives us that pillar of the strength in our heart and how we could overcome the weariness of what we know, which is God will never leave us in Brokenness.
