I've been a walking heartache, I've made a mess of me, The person that I've been lately, Ain't who I wanna be, But you stay here right beside me, Watch as the storm goes through And I need you, God gave me you for the ups and downs, God gave me you for the days of doubt, For when I think I've lost my way, There are no words here left to say, it's true, God gave me you.
I won't take it for granted, I won't waste another second, All I want is to give you, A life well lived, to say "thank you", I wanna live like there's no tomorrow, Love like I'm on borrowed time, It's good to be, it's good to be alive, I wanna live like there's no tomorrow, Love like I'm on borrowed time, It's good to be alive.
John 15 verse 12-14: My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command.
Matthew 18 verse 20: For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”
Romans 15 verse 5-6: May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 John 4 verse 11: Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
Jeremiah 29 verse 11: For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you but to give you a hope and a future.
2 Corinthians 5 verse 17: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
In these scriptures we see how God gave us one another, so that we may help one another, that we may do life with one another, that we seek Him in times that can get rough, and that He also shows us that in the last few scriptures that we can be thankful to be living a good life while remembering that we can always do well to live the good life of Faith by also allowing ourselves to Surrender to Him, allowing ourselves to know that we are free, that we are in the body of Christ, and that we can give each other hope and encouragement to keep on doing well as a disciple for Christ.
In the time that we are feeling down, God picks us up. In the times when we feel too far gone, God reminds us that we are loved and that we are His Beloved.
No matter what we go through, God gave us one another and it's a great time to be alive in knowing that our stories which are our testimonies, are from over and that we can live our best life in knowing that we are made for so much more than this.
I want us to think about a time where we felt left out, or we had doubt that we would fit in.
You see, just like in the Dave Barnes song God Gave Me You, He's given us each other on those days of doubt, and He's given us hope to know we are never alone in this world that we are in.
I know that for me, growing up, fitting in and feeling left out, was very difficult. Although, when I came to the ministries I'm apart of, or when I met others like myself with Hydrocephalus or others who understood my story, that made me feel good because it gave me the opprotunity to be able to know I had found places like Christian Media Spotlight, Reds Room, and my twenties Hydrocephalus support group, where I could call it home. I'm grateful, yet thankful and blessed to know CMS and Reds Room exist, just as well as the support group I mentioned.
I think we should take the time to reflect that God isn't done using us in the way that He wants to use us. I think it would be great to reflect on how God is going to use all of us for so much more.
I also think that it's best to reflect on how God gives us the strength to carry on even when it's hard, but He gave us each other and that's another reason to be thankful that we are alive.
It is always my hope that as I do these studies, that God gives each one of us the encouragement that we need, to be a light and to be the person that God has called us to be in our Faith and Relationship with Him.
I think, that no matter what we face now, that it should stop us, but strengthen us more to tell our testimony and to be the light, and to be who God called us to be while we own our Belovedness.
I truly hope that we can take away these things and apply them in our own walk, but also be able to have the courage to share our Faith and what God is doing in our life as we walk alongside Him.
Beautify Liz!
